The original image in the USF collection is titled “Corner of 7th Avenue in Ybor City”. By enlarging the photo, it was determined that the building is located at 9th Avenue and 14th Street, across from the former Ybor Cigar Factory, which was built by Vincente Martinez Ybor, the namesake for the district. The building was originally the offices for V.M. Ybor’s real estate business but was transformed into El Bien Publico Clinic in 1903 for the medical care of factory workers and their families. It closed in 1968.

After restoration in 1990, the building re-opened as the 16-room Don Vicente de Ybor Historic Inn. The inn closed for business in May of 2015 after selling for $2.2 million.
