J.H. Pearce opened his Red Cross pharmacy at 114 West Michigan Ave (now Columbus Drive) in 1916. Following his death in 1933, it went into receivership in 1935. His brother, J.D. Pearce, a St. Petersburg pharmacist, opened Pearce's Pharmacy No. 2 at 4725 N Florida Ave. This photo was taken in 1936 when they shared the building with Table Supply, a local chain grocery store during the first half of the 20th century. It was a mixed-use building with apartments on the second floor.

The building has withstood the test of time and remains a beautiful example of Mediterranean revival architecture. Retro Home Décor, Seminole Heights Antiques, and D&D Antiques now make up the block.
