This building was constructed in 1926, and this photo was taken in 1928. The property went into foreclosure in 1929 at the start of the Great Depression for default on the mortgage to the Exchange National Bank. In 1930, the plant was purchased by the Atlantic Ice and Coal Company and shuttered to consolidate ice production in the area.
A A-Usa Food & Logistic Solutions, a wholesale food distributor, was in the building until 2024, when a permit was issued to demolish the building.
