The abstract in the USF Digital Collection for this photo says this B & B Supermarket is on 3718 East Henderson Boulevard. That is incorrect. In viewing a high-resolution version of the image, this B&B Supermarket had a Howard Johnson Restaurant next door. The only location for B&B next to a HOJO was at Florida Ave. and Giddens. The Henderson store (#2) was/is a different configuration and part of a strip center. This art deco-styled store, having its grand opening in 1952, was located at 5236 Florida Ave. and was store #5. The corner is now occupied by the Avenue Lofts, a modern 52-unit apartment community built in 2018.
