In 1967, Faircloth Buick consolidated three locations into one in this $1 million facility at the corner of Dale Mabry and Buffalo Ave. (now Martin Luther King Blvd.) Jack Faircloth moved to Tampa in 1955 and bought the Giles Motor Company Buick agency, a car dealership that had been operating in Tampa in the same location at Tampa and Whiting Street since 1907. After increasing the business by over 400 percent, he moved his dealership here. Faircloth died in 1969, and the dealership was sold and renamed Royal Buick/Isuzu. Royal was bought in 1992, and the name changed to Century Buick and Century Isuzu. It closed this location in 2008, and by June of 2011, Mercedes-Benz of Tampa moved from its former location at 4636 N Dale Mabry to its new building and headquarters here.
