Hyde Park United Methodist Church’s congregation officially organized in 1900 with 29 charter members. The sanctuary was originally built in 1907 and consisted of a half round worship space and two-story classrooms. In 1953, it was totally remodeled, and in 1954 the Fellowship Hall in Chapel were built.
Renovations have continued including a new sanctuary, adult meeting and rehearsal rooms, and a bookstore and coffee shop
