Worth and Worth realtors, “Worth the While Florida Motor Courts” only sold motels. It was a lucrative business in the 1950s as northerners streamed into the state looking for investment opportunities. Keune and Keune Realty took over the site by 1965.

Sam Oh Jung Sushi opened in 1988, but owner Sam Lim changed the name to Matoi Sushi in 2000, thinking it was easier for customers to say. In January 2009, as the restaurant prepared for crowds in town for Super Bowl XLIII, an electrical fire caused an estimated $500,000 worth of damage and closed the restaurant. Repair and reopening took six months, and they remained open until 2021, when, influenced by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, they closed for good. In 2024, Jungle Boys Cannabis Dispensary opened after remodeling the building.
